OACIS newly founded: Freudenberg Reinforces Oil and Gas Business
In recent years, Freudenberg has been stepping up its activities in the oil, gas, and chemical industries through its involvement in Freudenberg Process Seals, EagleBurgmann, and Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership Oil & Gas. It now wants to expand these activities in a more targeted manner. “In the coming five years, we want to become the market leader for sealing technology in the oil and gas industry,” says Claus Möhlenkamp, member of the board of management at Freudenberg Dichtungs- und Schwingungstechnik, one of the co-founders of OACIS. The company has set its sights on providing seals and services for the entire value stream from drilling equipment to gasoline pumps, in other words from the drilling (“upstream”) and transportation and storage of raw materials (“midstream”) to their processing and refinement in the petrochemical sector (“downstream”). “With our broad portfolio of seals, our comprehensive range of services, and our global presence, we can supply the entire value stream in the oil and gas industry,” says Möhlenkamp, when asked to list the new company’s strengths.
