AS-Schneider: A strong partner for the offshore industry
April 02, 2015 –
AS-Schneider will be presenting its broad range of products and services
at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston. The family-owned
company based in Nordheim, Germany, is one of the world’s leading
manufacturers of Instrumentation Valves, Manifolds and Accessories. Among
other applications, the valves are used for offshore extraction of crude
oil and natural gas.
The USA is one of the
world’s most important markets for the extraction of crude oil and natural
gas. For this reason, AS-Schneider two years ago established a subsidiary
in Houston, Texas, the center of the American oil industry. Here, the
company has access to the huge local sales market and can also export its
products to Latin America. AS-Schneider America, Inc. will now be
represented for the second time at OTC, where it will present its
innovative products to American trade visitors. “Last year we had many
good discussions and established interesting contacts,” says Tacito
Loschiavo, Vice President of AS-Schneider America. “So it was clear that
we would return in 2015.”
At Booth 4527-17 in
Hall 04, visitors will be able to view the company’s broad range of
products, including Soft Seated Needle Valves and Manifolds which provide
a leak-free and bubble-tight shutoff and easily withstand toxic or
aggressive process media such as crude oil and natural gas. AS-Schneider
offers Soft Seated Needle Valves with a variety of connections and
material options. In each case it perfectly matches the sealing material
to the application, ensuring maximum safety and reliable operation. The
plastic compensates for irregularities on the sealing surfaces. Moreover,
the seals are easy to replace, which prolongs the life of the valves in
the case of aggressive or dirty process media such as raw natural gas.
In addition,
AS-Schneider will be presenting its Block & Bleed Manifolds for Ultrasonic
Flow Meter Applications, which are used in process systems in the natural
gas industry and other applications. Users can attach these manifolds
directly to the measuring instrument by means of a flange or threaded
connection. This minimizes measurement errors and leaks, and it reduces
the risk that condensate or other liquids will freeze. Installation costs
are also considerably reduced. The result is a safe, compact, and
leak-free measuring system.
