Heerema Offshore Services:
July 15, 2015 + + + Heerema Offshore Services has awarded Sembcorp Marine (SCM) a $1-billion engineering and construction contract to build a new DP-3 semisubmersible crane vessel. This follows a letter-of-intent signed in March by Heerema and SCM’s subsidiary Jurong Shipyard. The vessel, due to be delivered late in 2018, will be built at the Sembcorp Marine Tias Boulevard yard. It is designed for installation and decommissioning of large offshore facilities worldwide.
It will feature two Huisman heavy-lift offshore cranes, each with
10,000-metric ton (11,023-ton) lifting capacity, and a large reinforced
work deck area.
