AEG supplies UPS systems for two 49.9MW thermo-solar power plants in Spain

+ + + AEG Power Solutions, the world’s leading manufacturer of power electronic systems and solutions for industrial power and renewable energy has equipped two 49.9MW solar thermal power plants in southern Spain with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. Each plant has been equipped with AEG PS’s Protect 3 and Protect 4 UPS. The client receives a reliable, powerful and robust system optimized for every solar field not only in terms of efficiency and direct energy savings far beyond traditional solutions, but they also extend the lifecycle of the plant.

For easier manageability, the UPS systems are energy efficient and cost effective; they also meet all the requirements for solar thermal systems. “Our UPS’s are equipped with a remote monitoring function enabling easy operation and control over long distances. In addition, they offer maximum reliability and system performance under all environmental conditions, reduced downtime, low system complexity and short commissioning times“, comments Jesús María Rodríguez.
