E-world 2012: For the First Time Over 580 Exhibitors

At the "Executive Meeting Energy" on the Day Before the Fair, EU Commissioner Günther Oettinger Will Already Provide Information About Current Energy Policy Measures of the EU

Meeting place for decision takers: On February 7 - 9, 2012, E-world energy & water will offer a forum of information for central protagonists in the energy and water industries. In cooperation with Süddeutsche Zeitung, the "Executive Meeting Energy" will already take place in the Atlantic Congress Hotel Essen one day before the beginning of the fair, on Monday, February 6, 2012. Within the framework of the one-day congress, high-ranking speakers will provide information about the outlook for the energy world; the guests will include Günther Hermann Oettinger. The EU Commissioner for Energy will report on energy policy projects of the European Commission and on the advances in the internal energy market for electricity and gas.

This year, the premier European fair E-world energy & water will go into the twelfth round with a new record: Over 580 exhibitors from 20 countries will show their products and services on an exhibition area of 42,000 square metres - not only large conglomerates with international activities but also highly specialised medium-sized enterprises will be involved. In 2012, the new exhibitors will include STEAG GmbH, Siemens AG and Cargill International SA. After a break, the Norwegian petroleum and natural gas company Statoil ASA will again be represented at the fair with its own booth. The Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs will once more promote the cooperative booth called "Young Innovative Companies". For the first time, the German Emissions Trading Agency will represent the Federal Environment Office within the framework of E-world. The organisers are expecting more than 20,000 trade visitors in total.
