Siemens Energy Customer Magazine "Living Energy"
now also available as iPad app

23.05.2012   + + +  Siemens Energy's customer magazine "Living Energy" is now also published as an iPad application. The "Living Energy" app offers its readers additional content and represents an alternative to the print version. The app can be downloaded for free at the Apple App Store. Target audience and readership of "Living Energy" are international top-level executives in the energy business, politics, science and associations.

The app expands the print version's articles by adding audio statements, filmed interviews and statements, image galleries, e-dossiers and motion graphics. Great emphasis is placed on clear and easy reader guidance. The whole layout is specifically adapted to the iPad display. "By offering this app we pay tribute to changing readership patterns and we are also opening up to new reader groups," said Jan-Peter Schwartz, Corporate Vice President for Energy Communications at Siemens AG. The different topics are each covered by an editorial team, which designs the content according to the respective kind of publication. "Regardless of the medium or the technical implementation, we stick to our principles. The focus is on solid information with genuine added value and consistently journalistic standards", Mr. Schwartz emphasizes.

The agencies Kochan & Partner GmbH (Munich), Primalfila AG (Zurich) and independent Medien-Design (Munich) were engaged with the creation of the app to ensure an up-to-date media appearance. "Living Energy" is published twice a year since 2009 with a circulation of 15,000 copies and subscribers in more than 120 countries.
