12.07.2012 + + + With the launch of Trayport GlobalVision ETS an additional market maker for both markets (spot and futures) at CEGH Gas Exchange of Wiener Boerse has become active: RWE Supply and Trading GmbH started market making at July 6, a further important milestone for CEGH in developing the Gas Exchange to an attractive trading platform for Central Europe.

The attractiveness of CEGH also is reflected in the increasing number of new members at this trading platform: by today, CEGH already has 146 registered members, compared to 134 by end of Q1/2012. Currently in average every week a new member registers at Central European Gas Hub.

By the end of 2012, CEGH is planning to launch the CEGH Gas Exchange Within Day market of Wiener Boerse, also utilizing the Trayport ETS system. And by January 2013 the current flange-based trading will be migrated to a single virtual trading point on top of an entry-exit system with CEGH as the operator of the “Virtual Trading Point (VTP)”, concentrating the existing liquidity in one national trading point.

+ + +

The Central European Gas Hub AG (CEGH) is a subsidiary of OMV Gas & Power GmbH (80%) and Wiener Börse AG (20 %). It has become the most important trading platform for natural gas in Central Europe, offering international gas trading companies the possibility to trade at Baumgarten and other border points of the Austrian gas grid. CEGH runs the CEGH OTC Market and the CEGH Gas Exchange with a Spot Market and a Future Market. In 2011, CEGH achieved a trading volume of approx. 40 billion cubic metres (app. 440TWh) of natural gas, thus consolidating its position among the leading gas hubs in continental Europe.
