Ferrostaal Piping Supply: Framework agreement with Linde Engineering
An impressive concept for component delivery
12.06.2012 + + + Ferrostaal Piping Supply GmbH has concluded a framework agreement with Linde Engineering, a division of the Linde Group, for worldwide delivery of flanges and fittings. These components are used to join individual system parts in air separation / hydrogen plants, among other applications. The contract was concluded with a two-year term with an extension option. Linde Engineering had issued a call for tenders for the award of contract in early 2012, and the contract was eventually awarded to Ferrostaal.
Linde Engineering builds air separation and hydrogen plants worldwide for use in the production of gaseous and liquid oxygen, nitrogen, noble gases and hydrogen. “Ferrostaal offered impressively short delivery times and comprehensive delivery processing outside of Europe – which includes deadline tracking and transport management”, according to Barbara Buttinger, Head of Strategic Procurement at Linde Engineering.
“Linde has already ordered components from us for projects in Thailand, Indonesia and the USA. Thanks to our piping warehouse systems, we can respond to these requests quickly and easily”, explains Ingo Stiebe, responsible for the project business at Ferrostaal Piping Supply.
The object of the agreement are flanges corresponding to the ASME B16.5 / B16.36 / B16.47 standards, along with fittings from the ASME B16.9 / B16.28 / B16.11 / MSS SP-83 / -97 standards range and representing Linde’s own specifications. The available flange materials are ASTM A182 F304L / A105 / A182 F11; materials used for fittings are ASTM A234 WPB / A105 / A234 WP11 / A182 F304L / A182 F11 / A403 WP304L and A420 WPL6.
Along with Linde Engineering, other companies, including ExxonMobil, rely on Ferrostaal Piping Supply as their framework-contract partner for components for industrial
plants. More: wwww.ferrostaal.com
