Flottweg: Oil sludge treating centifuges aid new, profitable wells

May 7, 2014 + + + Tricanter Z5E incorporates "efficient centrifugal technology for oil sludge treatment to open up new and profitable oil wells." Its pretreatment operation is crucial to the processing of oil, water, and solids separation for maximized oil recovery.

Among Tricanter benefits: greatest possible purity of liquids to be separated by using the impeller. With it, other processing steps/separating stages can be eliminated or are no longer required.

Systems are also valuable for high performance separation and oil recovery from residuals during tank cleaning, as well as cleaning oil from oil-sludge processing.

Tricanter's three-phase separation comprises simultaneous separation of two immiscible liquids with different densities and one solid phase, provided the solid phase is the heaviest phase. Tricanter discharges the heavy liquid through an adjustable impeller under pressure and the light phase by gravity.

It's engineered to optimize liquids purity and eliminate downstream equipment.
