Russia plans line to Turkey instead

 

Dec. 02, 2014    + + +  Russia has decided against the construction of the 930-km South Stream natural gas pipeline across the Black Sea from Russia to Bulgaria, citing delays on the part of the European Union in taking the steps necessary to move forward. Press reports have OAO Gazprom Chief Executive Alexei Miller as confirming the decision originally announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Miller and Mehmet Konuk, chairman of Botas Petroleum Pipeline Corp., signed a memorandum of understanding Dec. 1 on instead building an offshore gas pipeline from the Russkaya compressor station (also South Stream’s starting point) under construction in the Krasnodar Territory across the Black Sea to Turkey.

In Albania, the ITT is for the provision of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of one compressor station at Fier, and one metering station at Billisht. Enagás joins Trans Adriatic Pipeline

 

Sept. 30, 2014   + + +   Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG (TAP) announced today that Enagás has joined the project as a new shareholder with a 16% stake in the company. In addition, existing shareholder Fluxys has increased its stake in TAP from 16% to 19%. The new arrangement follows the purchase by Enagás and Fluxys of the 19% of TAP shares previously owned by E.ON (9%) and Total (10%). TAP’s shareholding is now comprised of BP (20%), SOCAR (20%), Statoil (20%), Fluxys (19%), Enagás (16%) and Axpo (5%).

The Woodfibre LNG Project will be located in the District of Squamish near Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. "The Woodfibre LNG Project is of high strategic value for Linde, as it bridges the gap in the LNG industry between traditional mid-scale and large-scale LNG trains," said Professor Dr Aldo Belloni, member of the Executive Board of Linde AG. "The Project will be the second largest Linde-engineered LNG plant, surpassed in capacity only by the LNG facility on Melkøya Island near Hammerfest, Norway."

Saipem was awarded construction of the first line in March. to Provide Pipe to Shell

January 23, 2014 + + +  TMK IPSCO, the North American division of global pipe manufacturer TMK, has been awarded two three-year contracts to provide both oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and line pipe to Shell for onshore and offshore applications. Five of TMK IPSCO’s plants are currently providing pipe to Shell under the OCTG contract. Welded and seamless OCTG as well as TMK UP™ brand DQX premium connections are currently being delivered.
